K-9 Ernie spent years protecting Covington. Now, his name will live on at a place built for our community and its four-legged residents.
Yesterday, the City cut the ribbon on the new K-9 Ernie Memorial Dog Park at Hands Pike Park. The park honors the decorated Covington Police K-9 whose courage, resilience and service left a lasting impact on our community.
The park is officially open, so bring your pup and check it out!

🎃 The Jack-O-Lantern Festival is back!
Join us Saturday, Oct. 17, for one of Covington’s favorite fall traditions. Enjoy free food and drinks, a costume contest, face painting, train rides, bounce houses, a magician, games, and plenty of Halloween fun for the whole family.

Join Urban Forester Patrick Moore for a guided tree walk Saturday, Oct. 10, and learn more about the trees that make up Covington’s urban forest.

📱 Uber and Lyft can get you to Covington and pick you up after your night out. Road closures and crowds may change your route or pickup and drop-off location.
TANK Park & Ride
🚌 Skip the festival traffic and parking. TANK will offer special BLINK Park & Ride service from Northern Kentucky University on Friday, Oct. 9, and Saturday, Oct. 10.
Driving & Parking
🅿️ Driving in? Several garages are within walking distance of the BLINK footprint. You can also reserve a spot in advance at select garages through the ParkWhiz app.

Join us Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 4:30 p.m. for the ribbon cutting of the new K-9 Ernie Memorial Dog Park at Hands Pike Park.
Named in honor of decorated Covington Police K-9 Ernie, the new park is a lasting tribute to his service, courage, and legacy in our community.

Covington’s Entertainment Destination Center brings together restaurants and bars throughout the BLINK footprint, making it easy to eat, drink, and explore.
And you don’t have to leave your drink behind. Participating businesses will serve alcoholic beverages in specially marked cups that you can take with you while you walk through the EDC and enjoy the art and light installations.

Mayor Ron Washington helped celebrate the opening of Layers and Flavors with a ribbon cutting today at 3627 Decoursey Ave. in Latonia.
Owned by Sasi and Edward Hebel, Layers and Flavors serves Thai cuisine in a cozy, home-inspired setting designed to be a place where neighbors can gather, connect, and celebrate Thai culture.
We’re excited to welcome this new addition to Latonia!
